Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My baby crawled around in a playpen while I sat for 12 hours, sanding the floor as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however we were a long way off. The house would need a great deal of effort and a love for shopping. To stay within the budget, I started by taking my sons to estate sales in search of diamonds. Each week we would spend Thursday to Saturday at estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. Then I stenciled and polished in the driveway during the workweek. The look was a little similar to this... Here is where my obsession with the restoration of antique furniture began. After our home was furnished I couldn't stop! There was a spot in the market in which I sold my items. I could outgrow my space because I owned numerous pieces I could use. At home, I started hosting open houses where more than 1000 people could come in to purchase anything they liked on the 1st floor in just one weekend. Growing Days is the result of this. Growing Days was not only an incredibly successful business, but also my sweet family. The balance was between starting a business and becoming a mother. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. It was a great direction for my business, but I also needed an escape. I decided to take a break from making vintage furniture, and also slowed my pace to be at home to help my children. The time was right. Within a couple of months, the phone began to start to. I started receiving calls from people asking me for help in home improvement as well as interior design. The majority of them had been to my home during open houses to purchase furniture. While I was working I added new clients to my list one by one. But it wasn't that long before I was managing several clients, and had an extremely successful business of home renovation. If you had told me that this business that I started would become the premise of a tv show on DIY Network I probably would have laughed. In fact, I do smile when I think about it.
